One of my favorite ways to eat broccoli is charred up in the oven. I suppose it could be referred to as roasted broccoli, but charred sounds fancy, and we like fancy in this household. It’s very easy to make and makes a great addition to any meal.

Yields7 Servings
Prep Time10 minsCook Time40 minsTotal Time50 mins

 5 broccoli crowns, medium
 2 tbsp olive oil
 2 pinches salt
 2 pinches pepper

1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut the broccoli crowns up into bite size pieces and scatter them on a baking dish. Drizzle with some olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other fixing you’d like to season your broccoli then place in the preheated oven.

2

After about 15 minutes or once you can really smell the broccoli, it’s time to give it a stir. If it’s right, it should be browned, and the broccoli should be turning bright green. Pop it back in the oven for another 15-20 minutes (whatever feels right) then remove from oven.
