1 package of King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
 5 italian sausages
 1 yellow onion
 2 green bell peppers
 2 red bell peppers
 6 slices of provolone cheese
 3 tbsp olive oil
 1 tbsp italian herbs

1

First thing's first - get those sausages on the grill. If you insist, you can also just cook them up in a pan. But I'm telling you - grill them! I use a small charcoal grill, but you can use whatever you've got. You'll want to flip them after about 10-15 minutes just depending on how hot your grill is.

2

While the sausages are grilling and smoking, go ahead and prep your vegetables. I cut everything into slices. The onions are fine like that, but I cut the bell peppers into thirds or fourths after slicing them into rings. Toss everything into your pan with a light coating of olive oil to help them caramelize.

3

Once your veggies are caramelized, it is probably time to take the sausages off the grill and remove your vegetables from the heat.

4

Slice up these bad boys into bit size pieces.

5

Toss the sausage into your veggie pan and return to the heat. You only have to toss them for a couple of minutes until everything is mixed together.

6

While those are heating up, get out your rolls. I'm using sweet hawaiian rolls, but you can use whatever rolls you prefer. This would taste great on sourdough! You'll want to remove the rolls completely from the pan without taking them apart. Cut the top off about halfway down. You want equal bread on top and bottom. If it's not even, that's fine. Just do the best you can.

7

Pour your sausage and peppers on top of the bottom half of the rolls. You can add some extra cheese before you do this if you want your sliders extra cheesy, just make sure to account for that in your cheese purchase - 12 slices instead of 6.

8

Layer your cheese (or your extra cheese) on top.

9

Place the top of the rolls on top like a sandwich.

10

Mix your olive oil and italian herbs into a small dish. I used basil and oregano. Baste the tops of your rolls with the oil. This will add flavor and will give the tops of the sliders some crunch! Toss them into a 350 degree oven and toast until the cheese is melted and the rolls are turning golden brown.

11

At this point you are ready to serve!

12

Look at the gooey, cheesy goodness! Enjoy your sliders!
